That cloud of adversity...
Adversity is a relentless species in our day to day life. It arises from the smallest of things and colonizes the greatest moments. Yet, the average person can fend off adversity. The average person can fight off those small shards of resistance against a joyous and efficient lifestyle. However, in the face of great difficulties, where all hopes is lost, one often loses sight of what they have. They may forget why they chose that road or they may regret the choice that they have chosen. And even with that in mind, one can see that all those who have lived through adversity has a counter measure, a device that can haul a distressed being from the crevices of hell itself.

for me, I normally require only one of three things.

The bond of brotherhood
The ambitions of the mind
and the gentle touch of feminine love

But when adversity rises from ashes and brothers are far from sight. When ambition is all but spent and the mind falls from grace. When the sky seems to lack that silver lining, all hopes seems lost. You look around you and see foreign terrain. You look behind you and do not recognize the path you have walked. You look at yourself and see the bibulous trails of tears.

You are lost.

You wonder away from those you know, you diverge from them in the streets of life. And when you look at the black sky, you see a faint glow of silver light.

And when all hope seemed lost, this lining, this lining of silver descends upon the earth and looks around, smiling gracefully at my presence.

From then the day grows better.

When the soft touch of feminine love reaches the heart of men, all hope is restored. Adversity declines and one's fears disperses.

So thank you, silver lining, may we walk again.

2 symphonies of blinding light...
Apparently most suicide victims don't openly show any signs of distress or sadness. They just fight a war alone. As pitiful and weak and stupid as that sounds it makes sense. Most people would run from such big problems. Most people would want to live life without such sadness. Most people...

F₁ Generation
Like most second generation Australians, my parents grew up in a life of hardship and lived in poverty. Their life has grown very instinctive and survival orientated. They strive for normality, the ability to live life easily and to feel an ease of mind. In their world, completing a criteria is all they need.

That is why they have this whole "end game paradigm". Life is about tomorrow. An excess of effort is put into building a future which might let you have holidays here and there.

....And they don't even do it right.

Most parents believe that ability is the sole drive of a person. They believe that if their child can go to Harvard or get a degree in law, they will succeed in life. Seldom do Asian parents ever tell their kids that people LIKE those who play sports because it means they have a life, It's because it speaks more about their ambitions than their law degree does.

Nor do they realize that most of us are born into a privileged world. It's one thing to consider it self centered to live a flamboyantly luxurious life when poverty is still internationally widespread but it's another thing to completely spit on good fortune and spend life striving for basic necessities.

Furthermore, they do not realize that some things will not exist in the future. Close friends for example. You will never find it easier to get great, close friends that you do in High school. You diversify in University and most of you go your separate way. After that you're busy with work and family.

That is why you must take life today, not spend all your time chasing tomorrow.
