COOKIES
You know how food is one of the 3 things we need next to water and shelter and yet we treat it like crap and just eat stuff out of the freezer which says "pop in microwave for 3 minutes" and has an ingredients box which has more words than the average page in a harry potter book?

Yeah, since it's holiday,s I'm gonna see how hard it is making your own real food and storing it in Tupperware containers on the kitchen bench and just pig out on it throughout holidays. Stuff like cookies, breads and cakes.

Oh and that'll probably work wonders for futsal and ice hockey. It's not like I'm the smallest weight range in hockey or anything...

Foresight's a Bitch
I find it rather disturbing how individualistic people have become. Humans were always a social species. It always traveled in tribes and everything was done in groups. Hell, the one advantage Humans have over other animals is that Humans can communicate and record data. We don't have to rediscover things every ten years. And I imagine in that time everyone was one big happy family.

Then the industrial revolution comes and messes everything up. No one was as stationary as they were before and people could simply move to another city and live there. Now, with all this individualistic nomadic lifestyle where people move within a city to where the houses are cheaper (or more expensive for that matter) people start to lose that whole "I was born here and I'll die here" type thought and people have grown almost identity-less.

And look at life now. With all this artificial intelligence industry and everything, people could quite contently and easily spend their entire lives in a basement. Think 100 years down the line. What would actually be the standard way of meeting people? Will anything ever be up to chance, of getting to know someone face to face? Or will we have evolved to a time when your perfect math was calculated and you know who they are before you ever see them in person?

I mean really, whoever started this whole telecommuting bullshit is a complete tool.

iridescent
IRIDESCENT
(adjective)

1. Producing a display of lustrous, rainbowlike colors: an iridescent oil slick; iridescent plumage.
2. Brilliant, lustrous, or colorful in effect or appearance: “The prelude was as iridescent as a prism in a morning room” (Carson McCullers)

Or, the optical phenomenon where a surface appears to changes color depending on the angle it is viewed.

And life is iridescent. It is a variety of colours and changes depending on the way you look at it.

On a completely different note, I finally realized why a person should go out of their comfort zone. It is because that when you first learn something, you learn all those big important skills in life that will give you the biggest improvement per effort. The more time you spend learning something the more niche that ability becomes and the harder it get's for you to cross apply it.

My futsal team has lost dramatically in the past two games. After both of them, we have revelations that are just phenomenal

Lesson 1: Possession.
I bet at some point Sun Tzu said that one cannot attack without first possessing a means to attack. In other words, one must hold possession over necessary materials to inflict damage. Even if one must retreat or give in a little to the enemy, one must not lose the ability to do something.

Lesson 2: Offense
The problem with over estimating an enemy's defense and being all cautious is that they have the opportunity to sacrifice efforts in that area. If you think that you cannot possibly harm someone and throw pebbles at them from afar, they have the opportunity to simply run up to you and smack you in the face. If you ran up and were aiming for their face with your fist then they'd have to watch out and hold back on the attacking a little.

Benchwarmer
Hey Bench, give 'em hell!

Have you noticed that in every team there is always one rejected player, one person that takes all the blame for a teams failures, takes all the ridicule and takes just about the short end of every stick.

Have you noticed how much it would suck to be them?

Have you noticed how much that one guy does for the team.

You see, people take bullying on a one sided perspective. They always take the victims side because people like sympathetic people so the whole world is pressured into being sympathetic.

But think about whenever you ridiculed someone or made jokes about them. Most of the time it's something you do for fun, to lighten the mood at your end and to keep the spirits high of the people around you minus the victim. Sure sometimes you get those very angry ones but in reality...it helps a team a lot.

And if your bench warmer is some bloody awesome person who can brush off those ridicule and give his all then I think that guy is hugely underrated. No one likes a team who's all neutral and nice and never cracks jokes at one another. Cracking jokes at one another and at yourself is what makes failures bearable.

So, bench, give 'em hell!

That cloud of adversity...
Adversity is a relentless species in our day to day life. It arises from the smallest of things and colonizes the greatest moments. Yet, the average person can fend off adversity. The average person can fight off those small shards of resistance against a joyous and efficient lifestyle. However, in the face of great difficulties, where all hopes is lost, one often loses sight of what they have. They may forget why they chose that road or they may regret the choice that they have chosen. And even with that in mind, one can see that all those who have lived through adversity has a counter measure, a device that can haul a distressed being from the crevices of hell itself.

for me, I normally require only one of three things.

The bond of brotherhood
The ambitions of the mind
and the gentle touch of feminine love

But when adversity rises from ashes and brothers are far from sight. When ambition is all but spent and the mind falls from grace. When the sky seems to lack that silver lining, all hopes seems lost. You look around you and see foreign terrain. You look behind you and do not recognize the path you have walked. You look at yourself and see the bibulous trails of tears.

You are lost.

You wonder away from those you know, you diverge from them in the streets of life. And when you look at the black sky, you see a faint glow of silver light.

And when all hope seemed lost, this lining, this lining of silver descends upon the earth and looks around, smiling gracefully at my presence.

From then the day grows better.

When the soft touch of feminine love reaches the heart of men, all hope is restored. Adversity declines and one's fears disperses.

So thank you, silver lining, may we walk again.

2 symphonies of blinding light...
Apparently most suicide victims don't openly show any signs of distress or sadness. They just fight a war alone. As pitiful and weak and stupid as that sounds it makes sense. Most people would run from such big problems. Most people would want to live life without such sadness. Most people...
